Riverside Positive Inclusion Project

What a fab time we're having! This project takes 4 young ppl from Riverside Community College every week for one day. They get up to all kinds of stuff but mostly its musical.

Hard to Stop
|
Drugs Project in the New Parks. April 2004 saw the Hard to Stop Music Project at the Eyres Monsell Young People's Centre. This thriving and often Mad! project was hugely successful and was run in conjunction with Leicester Junior YIP (Youth Inclusion Project). Smoking Sucks
|
Smoking Sucks was a project we put on at the New Parks Boys Club in February 2004. We had a wicked week of sound engineering, drumming, deejaying, singing and overall fun. The theme of the week was to promote healthy living and the detremental effects of smoking. Click here to find out more.

Distance Learners Week
|
Soar Valley Music Centre is very proud to have learners around the world. We are going to invite as many of our learners to join us the week of August 11th - 15th at all our venues. There will be a range of events to choose from, everything from sound engineering and individual lessons to Deejaying and composition. We hope it will be a fun an enthusiastic week. This is the first Distance Learner's week so we look forward with excitement. Accommodation will be arranged.

Carnival
|
The Caribbean Carnival of Summer 2003 was brill! We had a whale of a time click here to find out what happened.
We held DJ projects on the Connextions stall, meanwhile the Stiff Naked Fools were entertaining the crowds from the float.

| Sound Ideas - A project with the Royal Philharmonia and De Montfort University that enabled our students to work with professional players and indeed at the fabulous facility at De Montfort University in Leicester. |
Ashfield School, Leicester asked us to support their Music Day: "Meeting is a pleasure". On the whole, it was a fantastic day all round. |
