Here you can ask any questions you think may be relevant to you and other learners.
Does the Course Fee cover everything I need?
Yes and No! The course fee gives you access to our tutors and the support of belonging to Soar Valley Music Centre. We are not necessarily interested in making money - we need to cover our costs, but we are interested in bring music and music education to as many people as possible.
The fee then gives you a personal tutor and a course tutor, plus the email interaction that brings. Other costs you will need to think about might be the cost of other resources, books etc. you may wish to purchase, cd's that may be relevant.
Also your accreditation with OCNSEM will cost a small amount (an exam fee if you like), when you complete your course. We will tell you more when this years accrediation fee is arranged.

Can we come and meet you?
Yes indeed. We run all our classroom based operation here in Leicester throughout normal school/college term times. And are available, by appointment, 6 days a week. Also please feel free to drop in and come and see what is happening at any time.
We also have our distance learners week once a year (August), that enables our students from across the world to come and exchange ideas and music.

Is this OCN course recognised by universities?
Yes indeed. The NOCN (National Open College Network) is a nationally recognised accrediation body which is responsible to the QCA (Qualifations and Curriculm Authority) here in the UK.
We have students who have used their qualifiations to access universities as far afield as the Caribbean, United States and Canada, as well as all over the UK. For more information on what OCN levels are all about read this
